Pastéis de Belém ... OR CREAM CAKE ...

In my last summer vacation, I discovered this sweet loved or rather " loved us." Is a typical sweet pastry originating in a Portuguese in one of the most historic Lisbon, Belém . Pasteis Belem.

Ingredients:

- 250 grams of milk.

- 250 gr cream.

- 170 g sugar.

- 50 grams of flour.

- 5 egg yolks (freeze the whites for another time).

- 1 stick of cinnamon.

- The skin of a lemon.

- 500 gr puff pastry. (I bought prepared)

This prepared :

1 .- Place the butterfly in the blades and put the milk, cream, sugar, flour and egg yolks eggs. Blend 10 seconds, speed 4.

2 .- Add a cinnamon stick and lemon peel. Program 18 minutes, 90 º, Speed \u200b\u200b2.

3 .- Preheat oven to 200 º.
4 .- Meanwhile, prepare the mold. Grease pan with butter, and cut circles of pastry using a pastry cutter , or help yourself with a large glass. Cover each pan with a circle. 5 .- When all the preparation time for the cream, remove the cinnamon stick and lemon peel.

6 .- Fill the molds without the edge. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until filling has set and top is golden brown.

7 .- Cool the cakes in pan for 5-10 minutes before removing. Then, remove and let cool completely on rack . 8 .- Sprinkle cinnamon and powdered sugar above.


TIPS:

- You can take this sweet both cold and hot, although the original form of taking, especially if you go to original hot cakes ...

- The amounts in this recipe was adjusted to 12 large pies, as the mold that you will use for more or less.
