In China has existed for more than six thousand years a deep knowledge of nutrition , based on the principles of balance and harmony of food intake.
The first to develop this knowledge were men and women of great spirituality who discovered the properties of different food and also how to use them to achieve more complete nutrition and healthy.
A wise man named Fu Shui who discovered the eight categories of universal energy (the Ba Gua or Eight Trigrams), a broad division of the known major categories of natural energy: yin and yang.
These concepts of harmony and balance were the foundations which support the cultural development of China, and applied in the private and public life, and spiritual practice. Much later, these principles were known as Taoism because the Tao is the path or the path to universal harmony through integration.
